LEGENDS

legends1.jpg

Legends, an installation and series of artist books, is named after an actual San Diego suburban development. The work examines real estate marketing strategies throughout San Diego County that promote an idealized life while ignoring the richness of regional cultural legacies and ecologies. All advertising text, including in the above image, is quoted from actual copy. All photographs chromogenic prints, most larger prints 16”x20.”
